It's done! The photo doesn't show much of a change from the previous post, but I did some more work on the face trying capture the values a little more correctly. The actual piece isn't quite as dark as this photo portrays.

I've looked at your blog before, but this is my first time commenting... I predict that this portrait will someday become a cherished family heirloom. It is tender and sensitive, from the tip of that button nose to the ends of the wispy blonde hair. Well done.

Do you know what I like best about this lovely sensitive portrait .... that your son is not looking out at us and has his mouth open. A brave choice that paid off stunningly. It is captivating and classic David and I really do love it!
